Biochemical and Molecular Studies of Different Parameters as Markers for Nephropathy in Type 1 Diabetic Patients

Albuminuria is the most characteristic marker of diabetic nephropathy (DN), which a complication associated with DN progression. However, renal functions decreased by about one-third patients before occurrence albuminuria. We study role telomere length (TL) blood leukocytes, some inflammatory markers in progression type 1 diabetes (T1D). Volunteers were selected and distributed into four groups: group included 20 healthy subjects as control, 2: T1D albumin excretion rate (AER) < 30 mg/gm creatinine, 3: 15 (300 > AER creatinine), 4: (AER 300 creatinine) 5 (DN group), collective between 3 4. Glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), serum urea, malondialdehyde (MDA), 8-OHdG, TL leukocytes measured. Results showed significant increase HbA1c, transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), MDA decrease G2, G3, G4, G5 compared control p-value 0.05.
